Week 2 - API centric - beneficial for our customers
Welcome to week 2 of our 8 week series on modern technology, specifically in the downstream fuel space. This week we're discussing being API centric and how that's beneficial for our customers.
API is short for Application Program Interface. Technically it means a contract of service between two applications. What that means for our platform is we become the connection point between different services and tools being used.
How this relates to you is it allows for a central repository of all your relevant data sets. Because our API's connect to a variety of other services like pricing feeds, tank monitors, tax engines, ERP's, 3rd party haulers, routing tools, and the like, we give you the ability to view and act on that data all in one place. You now have a centralized hub where all the data from disparate systems flows seamlessly.
If you're currently going to multiple places for different parts of your workflow or "chasing" paper post lift and delivery so you can confirm what took place and where, we can help. We bring all that together, in one place, so you can simplify and automate the workflow by having everything you need at your fingertips.
This is one of the advantages of having a modern technology solution. The ease of use, flexibility, and centralization of the workflow typically improves internal processes and drives down costs.
If you would like to learn more, just shoot us a note and we'll be happy to connect so we can learn more about your business and talk through ways we can help.
