TRUEFILL Update 2.27
Let's be honest, functionality that touches "everything" is a pain in the ass. Well, that was the story of pumpouts, which was released yesterday, along with other core functionality.
However, solving hard problems is fun and that's why we do what we do! Tough problems made easy is what good tech does and we strive for simplicity with every new release. More details on other released items below.
- We continue to evolve our “carrier light” interface to help our customers get adoption for smaller carriers and those for whom technology is challenging. We have provided inventory data for a few months for carriers that have been assigned to customer locations (VMI); we now also provide delivery/order requests via this same simple web page that a carrier can simply bookmark and refresh. Easy peasy. Delivery detail capture and in-delivery status updates (think = pizza tracker) are coming next.
- Some changes to better support some current PDIE integrations - mostly value mapping and handling of non-conforming exception messages we receive.
- Perhaps the biggest new feature in this release is the addition of the service request to our dispatch and logistics service. Pump outs are now supported in their many types and flavors! These can be requested by internal users or the customer via the portal. Pump outs get scheduled and added to a load, which allows the driver to see all work for his/her shift and the dispatcher to manage the actual work time for the driver. The service request framework also allows us to expand this own the future to support new types (we have already been asked for this).
